Literacy Volunteers of Rochester Wins!

The program called YELP Foundation Gives Local, promoted a competitive online voting campaign in dozens of communities across the United States. In each community three non-profit organizations gathered votes to compete for grants at the $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000 level based on voting.  

While LVR came in third in 2015, we were able to capture the top prize of $5,000 in 2016 with the help of our supporters and friends.  This grant will help support a growing variety of programs and services which last year helped over 1,000 adults achieve their literacy goals.
