Local actresses portrayed ten notable women at our annual Famous Ladies’ Tea. Among the famous ladies were Maureen Stapleton, Dr. Mary Edwards Walker, Carrie Nation, and Dolley Madison. The event followed a unique format, as the historical women introduced themselves to the audience by joining each table for a personal chat, each telling her own story.  A silent auction and raffle was included. All proceeds benefits LVORC’s programs and services for adults and children in greater Rensselaer County.
