COABE Recognizes Need to Support Low Level Learners

The Coalition on Adult Basic Education (COABE) calls upon all of us to expand our focus on workforce training to include supporting the 43 million working-age Americans with low literacy skills. Read more here.

Literacy New York believes that workforce and training resources should include funding for basic skills education, as millions of people need to improve their basic skills in order to access skills training programs. We have a pool of potential workers-- we need the resources to bring them into the workforce.
