Literacy Volunteers Ontario-Yates

Ontario County Program Coordinator—Under the direct supervision of the LVOY Associate Director, this part-time position is responsible for supporting adult learners enrolled in Basic Language, English Language and High School Equivalency programs, and their tutors, as they work to meet a wide variety of literacy goals. Tasks include:

• Learner and tutor recruitment, intake, processing, matching and support of learners and tutors
• Facilitation of Information Sessions and Tutor Training
• Data management - updating student and tutor files. Will work closely with office manager and associate director
• Collaboration and partnering with various Ontario County agencies
• Serve as a member of the Training Team, Assessment Team, Program Committee and other committees, as needed
• Management and recruitment of office volunteers and committee members to help with day to day aspects of this role
• Attendance at required training for State Education compliance and relevant professional development opportunities
