Literacy New York is thrilled to announce that we have another Janice Cuddaheee Fund grantee-- the Literacy Council of Alabama! The organization was awarded 6 "seats" in the Intake to Outcomes (I2O) training platform, and plans to use them to train tutors in math and reading.

Their program director, Steve Hannum, completed the I2O Math Basics workshop and said, "The course was very helpful. So much has changed since I learned math!" He says that the availability of math tutor training is allowing his program to offer their adult learners a math program for the first time.

The Janice Cuddahee Fund has provided training for 50 adult literacy tutors this year at 4 literacy programs. What an honor to Janice's legacy, lending a hand to deserving programs, training more tutors, and improving adult learners' lives!

We will award new virtual tutor training workshops in 2021, and the number of workshops awarded depends on the balance of the fund. To donate, click the "Donate Now" button at the top of our page, and choose "Janice Cuddahee Fund" when donating!
