Provider News: Literacy Genesee/Orleans
We have moved our Batavia offices and classrooms to the Batavia City Centre. We are open Monday through Thursday 10am to 3pm. We opened a program in LeRoy, NY at the local Catholic Church Parish Center; Monday-Wednesday 10am-3pm.
We have ordered KET Fast Forward, the newest TASC/High School Equivalency on-line learning software program. We anticipate having students attend for at least 3 hours per week while using KET Fast Forward at home or outside of class. We expect to be able to begin the on-line program by Monday March 20th. West RAEN will be offering a training for staff this early spring.
In Albion, we have a newly remodeled classroom we share and
have a great partnership with Community Action of Orleans Genesee at their Main
Street Thrift Store. While also being located at the Albion NYSDOL office.
We are also closely aligned with A4TD--the new Title V provider for NYS offering
seniors a training program/employment in professional positions as instructors,
data manager, career advising and special education. These professionals have
come to us with credentials and experience. We train them for these positions by
sending them to many RAEN trainings. We have all been thrilled with the
outcomes.
