We continue to wait, however, for news about funding from New York State.

In March, it was announced that not only was adult education not cut in the federal budget, it was given a $35 million dollar increase in the FY 2018 omnibus bill over last year’s allocation. This marks the first increase in adult education in many years and comes because of the outreach made by literacy advocates through the Educate & Elevate campaign.
