Adult Literacy Has Huge Impact on Workforce Development

A Buffalo News article published on January 12th calls attention to this crucial issue.
As hundreds of Buffalo residents applied to an exciting new workforce training program, it quickly became apparent that literacy rates were a barrier for many.
About 70% of people trying to get into the Northland Training Center can’t "pass the test" because of literacy issues. All applicants are TABE tested and must meet minimum requirements.
