COABE offers free webinars and other resources for adult education professionals. With their focus on advocacy during February, they have shared a recent webinar that is helpful both on the national and the local levels:
ADVOCACY FOR THE NEW YEAR
Presented by: Jody Angelone and Polly Smith
In this webinar session, the presenters provided an overview of the national Educate & Elevate campaign, including the current policy landscape. Presenters discussed recent election results and how changes in the House leadership may impact adult education.
The webinar also covered the following topics:

- Results from the COABE advocacy survey
- Information on the Student Ambassador Program and ways to engage your students
- Resources and examples of advocacy activities and events that can be replicated at the state and local level
